At some point everyone smiles. That smile can be the key to
identifying an individual because the teeth are the only bones
that are visible in life. Chips, fillings, marks from braces can all
cue in those who are looking. In cases where the teeth are
free from postmortem damage a smiling Facial Reconstruction
can aid in identification of the deceased.
Two different hairstyles on the same reconstruction were
utilized to show that although the hair may not be just
right, the face will read the same to those who are looking
for the unidentified individual.
