The purpose of a  forensic facial reconstruction is to provide a link from law
enforcement to those looking for the unidentified person. The goal is to make a
positive identification so the person can be laid to rest. Several sculpted versions of
the same individual can be created to aid in the search. These forensic sculptures
can be photographed from many angles, which helps with visual identification and
recognition.

The above 3D facial reconstructions of  (P)NY08-01KF, are the same person, the first
is sculpted as if the individual is in his twenties and the second sculpture shows what
he may have looked like in his fifties.
